Yury Gampel – Philanthropist and Healthcare Business Owner
A business owner with extensive experience in the healthcare industry, Yury Gampel co-founded the Embrace Foundation with his wife, Irene, to provide critical assistance to at-risk and vulnerable populations, including children in foster care and victims of domestic abuse, modern-day slavery, human trafficking, and sexual assault. Based in Calabasas, California, Embrace and Yury Gampel support a variety of causes throughout the US and abroad, including Mission K9 Rescue, the Good Shepherd Center for Homeless Women and Children, and Amigos for Christ, which provides development and humanitarian services to rural communities in Nicaragua.
The Gampel family’s Embrace Foundation has provided meals and gifts to women and children at Good Shepherd, launched the Retired K9 Medical Fund for Handlers to cover urgent veterinary expenses for retired working dogs, and donated a $50,000 gift to Jewish Community Services of South Florida in support of its Senior Ride Program. The organization also has an “Embrace of the Month” program through which it empowers individuals.
Irene and Yury Gampel were born in Soviet Ukraine and have been working to provide food and other forms of critical relief for Ukrainian refugees in the United States who left their country because of the Ukraine-Russia war. They were featured on CBS LA for these humanitarian efforts. In addition, they spent time in Poland helping people in Ukraine cross the border to safety at the onset of the Russian attacks.
Yury Gampel is the founder and owner of a multi-state group of affiliated outpatient medical centers that provide screening and treatment for minimally invasive vascular disease. He is also a real estate investor who manages a large portfolio. In addition, he managed several pain management centers. Mr. Gampel was previously a partner in multiple outpatient surgery centers, owned a national physical therapy business, and spent a decade as a practicing chiropractor.
